Chalets at Surf Club Midigama
Chalets Midigama is the boutique hotel at Surf Club Midigama: five pastel two-storey chalets set directly on the beach, and a Club Premier on the top floor of the Club House. Every room is sea-facing, with easy access to the pool and the Beach Club. Four additional chalets opening for the Happy Surf Season, bringing the collection to 19 rooms.
The rooms
Teak, timber, linen and brass
Teak floors, solid timber furniture, woven natural materials, white linen and brass fittings.
Every room has a king-size bed dressed in 400 thread-count linen. Bathrooms have twin vanities, rain and hand showers, teak-framed mirrors, brass fittings and bathrobes, with amenities made from natural local fruit extracts.
In front of the Chalets, shaded canopies lead through the planting to the beach. The pool and the Club House are steps away.

Good to know
Before you book
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 11:00. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability on the day.
Is breakfast included?
Breakfast is served every morning from the all-day breakfast menu at the Club House. Your confirmation states how it is charged.
Can children stay?
Children are welcome. Children aged 6 to 11 have a child rate, and children up to 5 stay free in their parents' bed. Tell us everyone's ages when you book.
Can a room take a third guest?
Yes. The ground-floor Deluxe Chalets take an extra bed, and the Club Premier has a two-seater sofa bed. Tell us when you book.
Can you arrange airport transfers?
Yes. Private airport transfers can be arranged on request. Midigama is on the south coast between Weligama and Ahangama, reached from Colombo, Galle and Bandaranaike International Airport by the Southern Expressway.
How many rooms are there?
Eleven today: ten rooms across the five two-storey chalets, and the Club Premier in the Club House. Four more chalets open in November 2026, bringing the total to 19 rooms.
Are twin beds available?
Twin beds can be arranged on request, subject to availability. Ask the reservations team when you book.
Is there parking?
Parking on the property is limited, and there is more parking on the land side. Please speak to the Front Office before you arrive.
When is the best time to visit?
The main surf season in Midigama runs from October to April, when the reef in front also makes the water especially good for swimming. The pool, the beach, the food and drink and the Club House stay open all year.
Can we book the whole property or hold an event?
Private group stays, selected buyouts and events can be arranged, subject to availability, with dining, bespoke menus, cocktails and music. Ask the reservations team.
What is the cancellation policy?
